Analysis, design and development of a complete online web solution for The Building Bridges between Practice and Knowledge in Nonprofit Management Education Initiative, funded by the W. K. Kellogg Foundation. This was developed in ASP, HTML, DHTML, MS-Access on IIS 5.0.


Development of an astrology based product called AstroDatabank for a U.S company based in Manchester, Massachusetts. This product was released in the form of a comprehensive astrology related software package. In addition to providing astrological information, the product also incorporates a database containing voluminous information on famous personalities from different walks of life. The product was developed in MS-Access, MS-Visual C++.

Development of a highly graphical yet intuitive adaptible UI for eKiosks placed at 380 kiosks over 156 strategic locations in the US, including airport lobbies, lounges, hotels, resorts, colleges and universities. The UI was deployed as part of the proprietary eKiosk operating system. An essential supplementary database tool developed was a UI Management tool to manage and deploy the UI over different host sites.

 


A Scheduling System for Canaan Investments Pte Ltd., Singapore. The Testbed for a Taxi Scheduler was developed using Visual Basic 4.0 and Microsoft Access v 2.0. Two schedulers were developed using the Forward Checking Algorithm under the Constraint Satisfaction Problem and the Production Rule. This facilitated performance comparison between the two schedulers. An important feature of this testbed is the modularity of the schedulers as well as the fact that other schedulers based on different rules can be plugged in.
 
Development of a custom toolbar for multimedia applications. This is for use in an OLE container. This was developed using Visual C++ v 5.0 on Windows 95 for Software Services KHP, Germany.
 
Development of a special for Mask Edit control Software Service KHP, Germany. This was developed as an ActiveX control using Visual C++ v 5.0 on Windows 95. This was used in a multimedia project to provide restricted data input only for numbers in a special mask.
 
Development of a program to design dot matrix pictures and send them to an electronic dot matrix display through a serial connection. This was developed using Visual C++ v 5.0 on Windows 95 for Software Services KHP, Germany.
 
Re-engineering of Jobber Management System (JMS), a proprietary product for fuel oil and LP gas distribution companies in the USA, developed by John Grady, Inc. This product has been in use for the past 20 years. Newer technologies and the Y2K problem have prompted the re-design and the development of a new JMS system. The new JMS has been designed using Object Oriented techniques. It is being developed in Visual Basic v 5.0 / SQL Server v 6.5 and implemented on Windows NT.
 

 
Development of a backend database to support the inHome Professor, a personalized training product from CenterPoint Technologies, Illinois. InHome Professor is sold through the Sears chain. The database will have an EDI interface as well as a Web interface, and will be tightly integrated with the business accounting procedures of CenterPoint Technologies. Object Oriented techniques were used to design the database, which will be developed in MS-Access 97 and implemented on a Windows NT Web Server.
 

Enhancement of a Service Tracking System, in Access v 2.0, for KOLL Asia Pacific, Indonesia. KOLL Asia Pacific is a subsidiary of a US corporation. This system tracks service requests from receipt of the request till completion. We have enhanced the utility of this system by including graphical interfaces resulting in better informed users. This system has been implemented and used in Indonesia as well as in Thailand.
 
Enhanced a proprietary Contact Manager for Premier Technologies Group, California, USA. This included additional functionality as well as performance tuning for the existing product and was developed in MS-Access. The product also incorporates a unique management tool that automates the direct marketing and follow-up sales procedures.

This product was developed in a 32-bit version using MS-Access v 8.0. This upgrade utilised the 32-bit features of Access 8.0 to the fullest and also made extensive use of OCXs.


 
Development of a memory-resident program for universities and educational institutes in the US. This product brings up pictures at a specified interval and is similar to a screen-saver. This is being developed in Visual Basic v 4.0.
 

 
MS-Windows based Catalogue Manager using Visual Basic v 4.0 for the Internet - an HTML based project for a US company, GlobalSoft. This project has interesting multimedia and animation overtones.
A PayDay Advance System for a Check-cashing firm in Ohio. This system has been in developed MS-Access v 2.0. It is in the final user acceptance phase and will thereafter be converted into a product on Visual Basic and Access 97. Object Oriented Techniques were employed extensively in the Analysis and Design Phases of this project.
