| Development
of SCADA software for M/s. Accord Instruments Ltd.,
Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India for their Automated Room Information and
Control System (ARICS). This software was developed using Visual Basic
4.0 on Windows 95. The ARICS hardware
controllers connect to air-conditioning units,
heaters, smoke alarms and occupancy sensors throughout an installation. The ARICS
software is the monitoring front-end and raises
alarms based on the inputs received from the hardware
controllers. The ARICS product is targeted at the hotel
industry and large offices and 'intelligent' buildings. |

for the Garware Group, India. This helped reduce wastage
of space in the packing of rectangular pallets of
different sizes in containers. A two-dimensional model
has been developed according to the requirements of the

Co-operative Credit Society Limited. This covers all
aspects of a service oriented co-operative society
incorporated in India. This was developed in Visual Basic

Information System for Rallis India Ltd., the largest
Agro-Chemicals company in India. This project involved a
study towards automation of their extensive budgeting
exercise across five divisions. The study was conducted
using an Objected-Oriented Modeling Approach.

Information System for Rallis India Ltd. This project
involved the creation of a large database of plant diseases,
symptoms and proposed treatments and antidotes into a
convenient, portable, interactive database on CD-ROM.
This system was developed using Visual Basic 4.0.

Spices, a multimedia presentation of Indian regional recipes developed
in Visual Basic 3.0. This product was streamlined by us for Arian
Systems, prior to final production and marketing. |

| In-house
development of a utility that generates emails directly
into the Outbox of Microsoft Internet mail. This is a DLL
that has been developed using Borland C++. The function
can be called from Access 2.0, Access 8.0 or Visual Basic
4.0. The beauty of this utility lies in the fact that it
puts the mails directly in the Outbox of Microsofts
Internet Mail - even if MS-Outlook or MS-Exchange are
configured to be your default email agents. The advantage
of such a method is that it is extremely fast and does
not invoke the email client to create the mails. |

MS-Windows based Storyboarding product for Film Script writers and producers using Visual Basic v 4.0. This product also involved the development of an editor to handle large text matter or scripts. Part of the development was done in Visual C++. |

| MS-Windows
based Accounting System on Visual Basic 4.0 (with
MS-Access v 2.0) for Associated Building Company, a Tata
Group company. This is an accounting system that will be
developed in short phases. The first phase has been
completed and this covers all types of Vouchers, posting
processes, and generation of the General Ledger. The
implementation stage for this phase has just been
completed and this project has entered the
post-implementation support stage.

| MS-Windows
based Payroll System on MS-Access v 2.0 for Associated
Building Company, a Tata group company. This is an
automated payroll package that generates the salaries for
the employees of the company based primarily on their
grades. Loans taken by the employees are also tracked.
Repayments are scheduled according to the Loan Repayment
Schedules. Other features of salary such as Provident
Fund, Life Insurance premium payments are also included.
This system integrates the Income Tax implications and
aids the user to arrive at the Tax that needs to be
deducted at source from the salaries. As an added feature of this system, we have developed our own security lock for the database called 'WatchMan!'. This has been developed in Visual Basic 4.0 and protects against any tampering of the source code of the PayRoll database. |

| A Membership
Tracking System for Tata Employees' Co-operative Credit
Society. This was executed using MS-Access v 2.0 on
Windows 95. This system maintains the Personal Ledger of
each member. An interface has been provided by way of
which data can be exchanged on electronic media between
Tata member companies and the Society. This system has been extensively performance tuned. Data is stored and processed for almost 5,000 members. This includes the monthly membership savings, loan installments, interest payable on loans and share-holdings of a member. |

| A Purchase
Order System for the Purchase Department of the
Pharmaceutical Divisions of Hindustan Ciba-Geigy Ltd (now Novartis) on
MS-Access v 2.0 on MS-Windows v 3.1. This system tracks
all operations of the Purchase Department, right from
requisition of an item to placing of the Purchase Order
to receipt of material. This system covers all types of
purchases - local, import and third party. It also helps
to make better purchase decisions as it is a direct aid
in costing of all items purchased. This system utilised the powerful querying facilities provided by MS-Access. Extensive reporting is an integral feature of the system and MS-Access ReportWriter and Access Basic have been used to generate complex MIS reports. |

| A Tournament
Management System for the Asian Judo Championship '95 in
New Delhi, through M/s. Advanced Electronic Systems,
Bombay. The hardware developed consists of two big
scoreboards, a Scorer's module and a Timer's module. The
information on the scoreboard is interfaced to a
computer. We designed, developed and implemented the
software system as a front-end using MS-Access v 2.0 on
MS-Windows v 3.1, which enables setting up of draws
between participants and maintains complete information
of the tournament. |
